Due to COVID-19, my carvings and paintings are no longer being publicly displayed. Until gallery exhibitions resume, carvings and paintings may be viewed at my studio. If you are interested in purchasing or commissioning a work of art, please contact me to schedule a private, in-studio viewing.
I am currently only carving competition and commissioned works. Below are the last remaining opportunities to own an original Stan West carving without commissioning its work.

"Bo" the 18" Rainbow Trout
In early July 2014, I began carving an 18" Rainbow Trout (pictured below). By September 2014, I had carved the general shape of the fish and scaled it (approximately 10,000 scales). Painting the piece and crafting its base was an exhaustive process. I jokingly say that "Bo" was born on April 25, 2015.
I've shared photos of the creative process through my artist page on Facebook. To see the progression of this piece, click here.
